I heard this quote today and it really stuck with

I heard this quote today and it really stuck with me, "Let yourself be a beginner." I started @flourishinfrills & literally had zero clue what I was doing and quite frankly still don't know half the time. Something I do know is I had this dream on my heart for as long as I can remember & finally overcame the fear, doubts & what if's that came with it. 1 year & 5 months of running this business in our home and we are officially up and running in our first warehouse. Is this space what one would consider glamorous? Far from. But is it taking another step towards growing this business and overcoming my what if's ? Most definitely. You know my story about working three jobs, getting laid off & making this space + Flourish a reality. But gosh today, as we had our first official 2022 launch for Flourish, while operating out of this space, it just felt like a pinch me moment. All that to say, if you have a business idea, promotion or dream on your heart, let yourself be a beginner. We all have to start somewhere & it sure isn't the top.

As we approach 2022 I figured a little introduction would be appropriate 😉 According to stories a lot of you are newbies around here so here's a bit about the girl behind the camera ✨
1. My name is spelt like Geordian, but pronounced as Jordan. My mom has always been a huge George Strait fan & teases that's where the spelling came from. And since we're besties you can call me Geor 👯‍♀️
2. I've never met a bottle of Cabernet I didn't like. Unless it's Barefoot or Beringer 🤪
3. Owning a boutique was always something I dreamt about & in August of 2020 I finally decided to just go for it which lead to @flourishinfrills being born 🎀
4. I worked in corporate America in advertising sales before I ran this space & my boutique full time. And if you're local to DFW you may or may not have heard me on the radio a time or two as I did many commercial voiceovers while working at iHeartMedia❣️
5. Chips & salsa on a patio are my love language. And give me a side of homemade ranch & I can promise I've never been happier 😋
6. The travel bug is real & I am determined to take at least one trip a month next year. Europe is at the top of my list ✈️
7. My parents have been divorced since I was 4 & just hold the I'm sorry's because it's the biggest blessing. I have 2 amazing bonus parents & 3 brothers because of it 🤍
8. Catch me in Fort Worth over Dallas any day of the week because yes, there is a difference 🤠
9. My prime athletic days consisted of winning the basketball Gatorade Willing to Win award at the age of 8. Hair slicked back, #13 on my jersey & sweatbands were included. 🙈
10. It's a fact that my husband has better dance moves than me. Give the kid a beer & he can get down 🕺

This is us in a season full of chaos 🤍 It isn't fancy, but the warehouse for @flourishinfrills is slowly but surely coming together. Reminding myself it's a warehouse & doesn't have to be glamorous 🙈 Couldn't do it without my right hand man.
