Every year when fall comes along I always think about and want to add a suede jacket to my closet, but the fall always comes and goes and I am left with no suede jacket. Not sure why I have never purchased one, because they are a closet staple and can be a constant go to. I am so happy to say I finally added this beaut to my closet & cannot seem to take it off.
I’ve worn it with jeans, skirts, over a dress… you name it, I’ve worn it! It’s so easy to throw over a look and make it feel more put together. My favorite part is that I can easily dress it up or down & still feel like a million bucks!
Speaking of a million bucks, you will never guess the price of this jacket, because it’s way under $100 from Macy’s! The suede is so pretty & the color can be paired with just about anything. I’m a sucker for anything camel, because I love how transitional it is with black or brown! P.S. this jacket is on sale for $41 today [regularly $80] with the code THANKS at checkout. I am wearing an XS for reference!
In case you are like me, and have yet to add a suede jacket to your closet, I have rounded up the best of the best from Macy’s. Rounding up all the price points for any wallet, so I am sure there will be one for you! Simply click on any of the below jackets to instantly shop from Macy’s site. You can go ahead and thank me 😉
Which suede jacket are you looking to add to your fall wardrobe? I’m dying to know!
Thanks to Macy’s for sponsoring this suede jacket for this collaboration. All opinions are my own.
Whether you’re an online or in store shopper, you have most likely noticed that prints are huge this fall. I mean really- they’re everywhere! From camo, snakeskin, leopard, cheetah… your closet is going to look like a real life safari 😉 In all seriousness, I have always loved dressing up in camo or leopard print, so I am super excited prints are a major trend this season!
From when I was little, I can remember flipping through the sale racks at Macy’s with my grandmas. To the point walking into Macy’s and taking in the smell makes me have flashbacks to some of my best childhood memories. To this day I still shop Macy’s on a monthly basis, typically online, as they run some of the best sales around. I can constantly find FreePeople, Jessica Simpson, Sam Edelman and other name brands marked down. To the point I refuse to pay full price for these brands anywhere else.
Have you checked out Macy’s new fall arrivals in store or online? I found this camo button down and go to cardi for the best prices! As I mentioned earlier, camo is in all the magazines and stores for fall & winter, so you will definitely be on trend with this cute top! Throw this beige knit cardi on top for some extra layer and you are ready to hit the pumpkin patch… or date night 😉 If you typically do not reach for camo or other prints, I encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and give it a try. You will be on trend & your closet will love you! Especially when paying Macy’s prices!
I cannot forget to mention these boots, because wow they are what my shoe dreams are made of! They are Circus by Sam Edelman and are only $100! Girl, that’s a steal for Sam Edelman shoes! You will be strutting through fall all season long! P.S. they are 30% off today with code BIG at checkout or 40% off if you buy two pairs. I told you Macy’s is always having sales you can’t beat 🙂
What prints are you dying for this season?
Thanks to Macy’s for the pieces for this collaboration. All opinions are my own.
Fall weddings can sometimes be extremely tricky to dress for, but so fun to search for the perfect outfit! With wedding season coming up, I wanted to show you a little number I found that would be great for an afternoon wedding this season.
I am always a sucker for floral, especially when getting dolled up for a special occasion. Give me floral plus bell sleeves and I am over the moon! I came across this cutie on SheIn the other day while browsing and figured it would be a great addition to my closet for any formal occasions this season. We actually do not have any weddings this fall [crazy since our lives have been full of weddings the past couple of years], but a girl always needs a formal option just in case of an emergency! I love this option because the color scheme screams fall & floral is always a great pattern for weddings.
I am really partial to this dress because it has a glitzy shimmer to it, honestly makes me feel like I am channeling my inner 6th grade self again when I rocked any & everything sequins. The price is also unbelievable for the quality, and you know this girl is all about affordable options!
I would personally not wear this to an after 5 wedding, as those tend to be more formal, but for a cocktail wedding or event it is great! I decided to pair OTK boots this go around, which would obviously not be acceptable to a wedding LOL, but throw on some pumps and you will be good to go! Comfort is key when heading to a formal event, so I tend to always grab my favorite block heels instead of kill my feet with new shoes. Sometimes I decide that beauty is pain, buuut if I am being honest comfort is always a plus 😉
Do you have fall weddings you will be attending in your future?!
How is it already October? This year has flown right by & is definitely bittersweet. Mainly because Austin & I will be celebrating our one year wedding anniversary in a month. Cue the tears, while I turn into a total mush ball. In all seriousness though, who else is with me that this year went by in the blink of an eye?!
This year may have flown by, but it’s officially one of my favorite months of the year. Bring on pumpkin everything, chunky knits, scary movies & all the hot coffee! If you follow a bunch of influencers or even fashion trends in general, you will see that tweed is majorly trending for fall and winter. I am 100% on board with this trend! Tweed is so classy, in my opinion, & is for the ultimate girly girl. Which hello… that fits my style perfectly 😉
I came across this pink tweed mini from Chicwish & knew my closet was in need of it. I love the fray detail along the seam and & the gold button on the front is the cherry on top! Oh, it also comes in blue, if you’re not a pink girl like muah! I paired it with the cutest ruffle blouse, also from Chicwish, to give the look that extra girly feel. Both pieces are under $50, so your wallet will not be hating you too much. For sizing reference, I am wearing a small in the top & blouse!
Since fall is finally here, don’t be surprised if you see more tweed minis in the future 😉
The past couple days have been a fall dream in DFW! It’s been overcast and rainy, and the temps have been cool for September here. With this kind of weather, I always find myself struggling with how to dress for fall when it’s still 80 degrees [which is like our 60 degrees in other states]. September is always the month that we are so in between seasons, and can always be a struggle when picking out what to wear in the morning.
A look I always gravitate towards is shorts + a cardigan & booties. You look like you are ready to go sip your PSL, but are still dressed for the Texas climate. I found this chunky knit cardigan from Chicwish a couple weeks ago & fell in love. The quality is great, & it is so cozy for the fall and winter seasons. Plus it comes in multiple colors & is reasonably priced for how great the quality is!
I threw it over my favorite basic tee & bralette to create a more casual look. You could easily add a lace cami underneath to dress it up a tad, if you are headed out for a date night or girls night. I added my go-to camel booties, to add that extra hint of fall, which are acceptable once September arrives, in my opinion.
This look and cardigan will be my go to for all my errands and brunch festivities all season long. I will probably even throw it on with leggings and tennies, for more of an athleisure look.
How would you style this cardi for fall?
