I figured I would change things up for today’s #WeddingWednesday post & share a dress that would be perfect for a wedding attendee for a fall or winter wedding! I don’t know about you, but I know other than our wedding, Austin & I have a wedding to attend the beginning of December. So hopefully this will help if you are on the hunt for the perfect guest attire!
Being October, darker colors are obviously taking over! So put away your baby pinks, yellows & turquoises until next spring. I would suggest going for something like this purple dress I found from Red Dress Boutique! The color screams fall & is not like any other color I personally own in my closet. The cape detail is so gorgeous & I can promise you will be standing out amongst the rest of the attendees. To add an extra flare, I paired it with my favorite nude pumps & leopard clutch [which I carry all the time]. If you prefer open toe heels, those are definitely acceptable, even if it is fall/winter! Oh & if this orchid purple is not for you, it also comes in a few others [red, black, etc.]! I will link them at the bottom of this post for to help ya out!
Any who, I personally would wear my hair down & curly [like above] with some big volume. You know us Texas girl love a good hair tease 😉 You could also add some fun earrings to add an extra statement, but I would stray away from a necklace, as the dress does already does the talking.
What are your favorite styles to wear to a fall or winter wedding?
Thanks to Red Dress Boutique for this collaboration. All opinions are my own.
One of my favorite things about loving fashion is that you can literally express your creativity in countless ways. I love being able to create looks that truly express who I am! I mean that’s what makes fashion blogging so fun, if you ask me.
With that being said, fall is around the corner, so be ready to see a lot more content revolving around sweaters, suede & fur! AKA three of my favorite things 😉 This pink, chunky sweater is from Red Dress Boutique & let me tell ya, the quality is amazing! It fits a little bulkier, so it would obviously pair great with some skinnies or leather leggings, but I decided to opt for something a little different! Lately I have been crushing hard on skirts, so I came up with the idea of layering this sweater on top of my black suede skirt [which is under $20]. One of my blogger idols, Brittany from Loverly Grey, always pairs shirts over skirts & dresses, so I totally stole this idea from her! I love how this look ended up. One because it is still extremely warm in Texas, so the skirt makes the outfit a tad more breathable. And two, it gives you a different way to wear the typical sweater we all have in our closet!
If you have never shopped from Red Dress Boutique you must! Seriously some of the most affordable pieces, that are so stinkin’ cute. I catch myself stocking their website daily now, because they are constantly adding new items. No judgement, please 😉 This sweater is under $50 & comes in several other colors, if you are not a pink girl! I have linked them below for your convenience.
Any who, I hope you have a fabulous week! Thanks so much for stopping by.

Another week & I am crossing my fingers that Texas will glimpse of fall soon. It has still been in the 90’s, so it has been extremely difficult to dress for fall! I always hate getting dressed in September, because I could still wear cut offs & sandals, but the season makes me want to whip out my sweaters & over the knee boots.
Whatever state you may live in, suede skirts are for you! I took this little number & threw on a white cami & open toe heels. Looks like fall, but not dying from a heat stroke 😉 When I saw this skirt online, I knew I wanted to invest, because I own nothing like it. If you ask my friend Paige what my staple in my closet is, she will tell you ruffles. I always love a good ruffle, so I had to add this drop waist ruffle skirt to my closet! The suede is gorgeous & honestly looks pretty expensive. No one would ever guess that it was under $25! Oh & even better, it is on sale today for $10. Hurry though, because there are only 2 sizes left! I am wearing a US 4 for reference, but could have taken a size down. I always size up in Boohoo, because their items usually tend to fit small.
Below, you will find several other suede skirts I want to get my hands on & they are all under $50! Happy fall shopping, even if it the crisp fall weather has not made it’s appearance in your neck of the woods yet!
My outfit is below. Have a great Tuesday!
I like to think one of my specialties is finding bargains. If you know me, you know I hardly ever spend over $50 on anything clothing wise. I mean I love Free People & everything from Nordstrom, but sometimes the prices are just too much for me. Don’t get me wrong, occasionally I will splurge, especially if it is for a special event! I just like to get the most bang for my buck, sometimes that means spending $100 for 8 different pieces or $50 on a skirt that I know I will wear all the time.
With that being said, I found this gem of a skirt at Saks Off 5th for under $50! The best part is it is regularly $150 😉 These are the kind of deals I live for. Finding designer pieces for cheap! This little white top is also a hidden gem that is under $15 & I have seriously wore it on repeat. Austin even noticed the other day, so that goes to show how many times I have wore it haha! However, I tend to always style it in a different way. You can pair it with a skirt for your 8-5 job or throw it on with some ripped jeans for shopping & errands. Ruffles are so in this season, so you definitely need this shirt for the price!
Oh & I almost forgot my shoes. Eeeekkkk! Are they not the cutest things you have ever seen? They come in multiple colors from Nordstrom & I am seriously obsessed for fall. They have been great for summer, but I think they will be just as cute with a little fall dress or skinnies & a chunky sweater! They are also on sale, so you are welcome 😉
Thanks for stopping by! Have a fabulous Tuesday.
Well it is August 21st & I am over here acting like it’s the middle of October! I am beyond ready for everything fall brings. Including boots, chunky sweaters & pumpkin flavored everything 🙂 Come August, I always start mixing in some fall pieces to my everyday outfit. Whether that be more closed toe shoes, booties with a dress or a fabulous long sleeve top!
I ran into Nordstrom Rack the other day to just browse & of course I walked out with a couple things I did not need. This top being one of them! I am a sucker for anything bell sleeve, so when I spotted this gem I knew that it was not a necessity, but that I had to have it 😉 It comes in three colors & is under $40! I love it styled casually with jeans & my favorite leopard mules. Or it would be super cuter tucked into a pencil skirt with some heels for work! The options are seriously endless. I always find myself wearing pieces like this top on repeat, so the $37 was worth the investment.
I also want to touch on one of this falls hottest trends…. mules! I have been so drawn to them, because they are comfy, fashion forward & just cute. I found these leopard ones from Red Dress Boutique for only $22, which is a steal. There were a pair of leopard mules on sale at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale & I am SO happy I did not splurge on them, because these are just as cute! I am not one that will spend a lot of items like mules, because honestly the trend will probably not be around for very long. So I would rather splurge on items like boots & coats, where I know I am going to be wearing them for multiple seasons. These particular mules come in several colors & they are all under $25! I am debating getting the gold, but Austin said I would look like a grandma [insert eye rolling emoji here].
