If you live in Texas, I know you feel my pain about how hot it has been. Which only makes me look forward to fall that much more [come on October]! In this post I am talking about how you can transition a LWD [little white dress] from the hot summer months, to the cool fall months [yes, white is allowed after Labor Day]. This dress from The Mint Julep Boutique [cutest name ever, btw] is more than perfect. If you haven’t heard of this online boutique, then you must check it out pronto.

Unlike a lot of people, white neutrals are actually some of my faves & they are a must in every closet. I love that you can easily change the look of the outfit by adding or taking away accessories. For summer, I paired this Mint Julep dress with my striped wedges & this off the charts statement necklace. So simple ladies. Did I mention how awesome the lace details are? And I think you can wear this off or on the shoulders, so whichever mood you are in! This outfit would be perfect for a date night with your honey, meeting your girl friends for a drink, or if you’re a bride to be. Also, if you are on the lookout for a game-day outfit I think this would be so stinkin’ cute! You could just add your schools colors with different jewelry, accessories & cowboy boots.  The quality is excellent & is very easy to manage. The only thing is you HAVE to iron this dress before you wear it, because it wrinkles very easily… but hey totally worth it 😉 Also, I would recommend going a size up because the small ran a little short on me!

Now for fall [aka my favorite season to dress for], I paired this dress with my taupe booties & long layered gold necklaces. As you can see, I threw a denim jacket & an army green jacket on top for the chilly fall nights [you can make this outfit preppy or boho by layering a piece on top]. I am obsessed with this look & I hope you are too. It is so easy to change up a simple white dress & transition it from summer to fall. Whoever said you can’t wear white after Labor Day lied to you. That rule is out the window in the fashion world. I have total faith you can rock it 🙂
