Brrrr! It is finally consistently cold here in Texas. Which means I can whip out my favorite coats I only get to wear a couple times a year. I came across this particular one on sale at Old Navy [crazy right?]. I am so sad that they do not have it online anymore, however I linked some similar ones below for great prices.

Coats are something I am a strong believer in spending good money on! They are worth every penny, because you can use them for several years. They also are the perfect accessory for just about any outfit. I am really a fan of the length of this one, not too short & not too long. And I got about $40 off the regular price, so I knew I had to splurge. I have a couple trips coming up to northern states, so I have had my eyes open for coats like this one!

I tried to change up the look above, because chilly weather in Texas means it 50 degrees… so I can definitely get away with wearing a skirt paired with a coat [& not freeze my booty off]. Suede skirt + this cream sweater is probably one of my favorite looks all year. I am in love with suede, & cream just happens to be my favorite color to wear. So if you did not take away anything from this post, I want you to get this… don’t feel guilty for spending a decent amount of money on a coat, because you will be able to get good wear out of it for several years. And if you live in Texas, you never know when an ice storm may hit 😉
