The past couple days have been a fall dream in DFW! It’s been overcast and rainy, and the temps have been cool for September here. With this kind of weather, I always find myself struggling with how to dress for fall when it’s still 80 degrees [which is like our 60 degrees in other states]. September is always the month that we are so in between seasons, and can always be a struggle when picking out what to wear in the morning.

A look I always gravitate towards is shorts + a cardigan & booties. You look like you are ready to go sip your PSL, but are still dressed for the Texas climate. I found this chunky knit cardigan from Chicwish a couple weeks ago & fell in love. The quality is great, & it is so cozy for the fall and winter seasons. Plus it comes in multiple colors & is reasonably priced for how great the quality is!

I threw it over my favorite basic tee & bralette to create a more casual look. You could easily add a lace cami underneath to dress it up a tad, if you are headed out for a date night or girls night. I added my go-to camel booties, to add that extra hint of fall, which are acceptable once September arrives, in my opinion.

This look and cardigan will be my go to for all my errands and brunch festivities all season long. I will probably even throw it on with leggings and tennies, for more of an athleisure look.
