Monday we meet again! I don’t know about you, but it was so hard for Austin & I to wake up this morning. Partially because our pup, Brutus, thinks he needs to sleep directly on top of us. I love that little guy, but good grief I wish he knew he was a major bed hog. LOL.

I know a lot of you girls live in Texas, so you are most likely experiencing this summer heat in October. UGH! Just wish Texas would make up it’s mind if it wants to be cold or hot, preferably cold, because I have a lot of sweaters I am dying to wear. However, if it’s going to be warm I guess I should still look cute?! Which is where this two piece cutie comes into play 😉

When I saw this look on Chicwish’s website, I knew I had to have it. It is perfect now for a date night paired with my favorite boots, but I will be able to wear this during the spring & summer with some wedges, too! You probably wouldn’t guess that this little skirt is actually a skort, but it is & that’s one of the major reasons I love it. It has the shorts underneath, which makes me 100% more comfortable!

Also, another style tip is to wear the top with a pair of denim. I did just this last week to work & got several compliments on the blouse, particularly because the colors are so great! If you are looking for an outfit for a bridal or baby shower, this would be perfect. Or if you just feel like getting dolled up for that special guy in your life 😉
